Anita's grandma and mother were inspirations for wanting to style hair, as her grandma owned a small salon in their home town of Sonoma, CA.

 

Anita has studied fine art, psychology, and cosmetology, and eventually became Sassoon trained in both cutting and color through an intense advanced education program offered here at Ketér Salon. "I still find ways to integrate all of my passions everyday by infusing creativity into my work and by exploring the world through my client's eyes. I like to be very current in my personal and professional styles, but maintain a thorough knowledge of styles from decades past, as well as having a sincere appreciation for classics."

 

Through continuing education offered by prestigious salons such as Di Pietro Todd and Vidal Sassoon, both in San Francisco, Anita is constantly being inspired to be even more creative and modern. "I believe I am best at combining cuts with an edge of spirited fun and colors that are bold and interesting. I like my clients to feel that they are sincerely refreshed and gorgeous, truly themselves but with a modern edge. I am often trying to get my clients to try new things and am good at suggesting flattering changes that are not too drastic, and also open to complete transformations. Another favorite part of doing hair for me is rejuvenating tired, dull and lifeless hair using our myriad of intense, hair-altering treatments, shampoos, conditioners and products. I love fixing things."

 

Her favorite type of client is one who is open-minded, and willing to experiment, but who also has some ideas about what they feel best in.

She is inspired and recharged by other stylists and taking classes as often as possible, and their continuing education here in the salon, but she is most inspired by the changing trends in fashion and loves to shop and read fashion magazines.

 

"My philosophy behind my work is that my client always comes first, and is always right. No matter what. I try to stay professional, guarantee my work, and love to laugh and have good conversation as well."

 

Anita is also a mother of two young children. While she thrives on working hard and pleasing people, she also loves to have a really good time and enjoy life as much as possible.
